The timing of your practical test application will depend both on your lesson progress and on the waiting time for tests in your area so you should liaise closely with your instructor and follow their advice carefully.

Most people would like to complete the learning process quickly but in order to increase your chances of doing so successfully, you must make sure that you complete every section of your Lesson Syllabus and see that you are able to carry out each of its requirements in a safe and confident manner. The practical driving test is not about perfection; it is about making sure that you have a basic understanding of the rules of the road and a reasonable familiarity and competence in handling the controls of your motor vehicle.

We have an accurate and up-to-date knowledge of your ability and we can time your application as near-perfect as possible, allowing for plenty of personal practice with friends or family whilst at the same time absorbing your instructor's teachings. We will also make sure that the test does not clash with your instructor's other appointments. Pupils who make their own test arrangements should make sure that they are up to standard and that their instructor can accommodate the test time, especially where a pupil may be arranging a test resit.
