Instructors >> Practical ADI training

ORDIT (the Official Register of Driving Instructor Trainers) is administered by the DSA to provide a minimum standard of quality for the training provided to potential driving instructors.

The A2Z of Motoring has been on the ORDIT register virtually since its inception in 1999. Our continued membership is subject to the continuous biannual assessment of our Instructor Trainers who are also committed to the ORDIT Code of Practice. Most instructor trainees take a basic 10 hours in-car training before feeling confident enough to sit the ADI part 2 (Driving Ability) examination and after passing the part 2 take out a training licence which greatly enhances their chances of passing their final part 3 exam and enables them to start working as an instructor and establishing their business a lot sooner than would otherwise be possible.

We normally provide one-to-one training and do not inflate your training timetable by giving classroom tuition to several people at once. Our modular instructor training means you pay as you train although we provide 10 hour mini-courses or - if you are being retrained as part of a redundancy deal or have access to a grant or are eligible for a development loan - we can put together a complete "package" according to your individual needs.
